I have a kid. Programming is my profession. My hobbies include intellectual games like chess or go as well as history study and reading, but unfortunately it happens too often that I pick some new hobby once in a while, and that distracts me a lot. I have lived in three cities and two countries which are Russia and Uzbekistan. Probably I can shed some light on several topics which might be of some interest for you.
